Trading a Card

Step 1:

When you find the gift card that you wish to trade for, click on its "Title" to see the detailed information on the gift card. You should see a "Trade" button on the bottom of the page. If you do not see a trade button, then either the gift card is only for sale, or you are looking at your own gift card (The button only disappears if you are logged in and looking at your own gift card).

Step 2:

If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to login. If you are not a member, just click the "New User" link on the page.

Step 4:

New users will be prompted for shipping and billing information. When you have entered all the required information in red, click the "Submit" button. New users will then be asked to retrieve their username and password from the email they provided in order to log in. Do not close the window you are brought to. Open a new window to go to your email. By closing the window, you will cancel the trading process. Members will be asked to verify the information that we currently have for them by clicking the "Verify" button. Members can also update their information if they want to change the shipping address, or any other information by clicking the "Update" button.

Step 5:

New users log in. Now you will see all of your current active gift cards. Click the check box next to each card you wish to trade, and click the "Trade" button. If you need to add a new card, click the "Add a Card" button. (See the Adding the Card Help located in the Browse Help Panel on the left.)

Step 6:

Once you click the "Trade" button, your trade offers will be sent. Once you click trade, you will need to go through the whole process again to trade more cards with that memeber.

Please Note:

This is only a "Trade Offer", and you are not guarenteed to recieve the Gift Card that you requested. Do not send your Gift Card until your card appears in the the "Pending" table of the the "My Home" page. (You can see the card you traded for by clicking the the "Traded For" button on the pending table.)CardJar does not facilitate the exchange of money or gift cards. It is the sole responsibility of users of this site to facilitate the sale and trade of cards on our site.

We suggest the following process for Trading a gift card:

• After the Trader 1 accepts the trade offer, both Traders will see their cards go into the "My Pending Giftcards" section.
• Both Traders can see the gift card they are trading, as well as the shipping information of the other Trader.
• Trader 1 should contact the Trader 2 via the information found in the "My Pending Giftcards" section.
• Both Traders should agree upon a date to send each other the gift cards to be traded, and then send their cards.
